HOW TO POST
YOUR GAMES
Package your game in a padded bag. Include the packing slip and address it to Game Share
(See address below)
Post to Game Share
We process your swap and send your new game to you
1-2 days after we despatch check your letter box for your new game!!
The following guidelines explain the steps in the above diagram. The aim is to help you save money on postage and also ensure that your game reaches us safely and as fast as possible.
We recommend that you send your game to us in a padded bag which is in good condition.
Choose the smallest size that your game will fit into comfortably, size recommendations:-
Size 1 or D is ideal for most CD/DVD based console games
Please avoid using Size 0 or C because cases can get damaged in the post
Please ensure that you include a packing slip in the envelope, either printed from the system via the
button on the offers page or if you have no printing facilities hand written with the following details:-
Game Ref
Swap Ref
Ex Date
(find this information by clicking
and generating the pdf packing slip)
You must always ensure that you send your game to Game Share at the following address:-
Game Share Processing Centre
The Carlson Suite
Vantage Point Business Village
Mitcheldean
Glos
GL17 0DD
(find this information by clicking
and generating the pdf label sheet)
Please use a label or write the address small enough to enable us to stick a return label over the top. Refer to our
Environmental policy
for further information regarding our recycling and reuse policy.
Please also ensure that you have completed your address information on the "
My Profile
" page, so that we can send your swapped game to you quickly and efficiently.
The average Xbox, Xbox 360, PS1, PS2, PSP or PC game should fit into a size 1/D padded envelope and will cost you
70p
to send to us first class or 60p second class as a
large letter
. Don't let your post office charge you for a package, this will cost £1.25 and is not necessary.
If you wish to send your game via recorded delivery it will cost you an extra 70p and can be tracked
here
using the tracking code given to you by the post office at the time of postage. Alternatively, if you're looking for peace of mind and insurance against loss, you can simply obtain proof of postage from your post office. This provides you with £34 of insurance cover and costs you nothing extra. In the event of your game being lost in the post Game Share will process the insurance claim through Royal Mail.
You have the following options for paying for your postage:-
Buy 78p worth of stamps, stick the stamps on the packaging and place it in the post box. You will not be able to claim compensation if the game is lost in the post.
Take the packaged game to your local post office and pay for the postage there according to weight and size. This is always 78p for a single game. Make sure you get a receipt as proof of postage, then if it's lost in the post, you can claim compensation.
Go to the
Royal Mail Website
and print your own postage.
Recorded delivery is useful if you want to be able to track your game. However, recorded does not give you any gaurantee of safe delivery.
Once you have sent your game please mark it as sent on the Offers tab on the My Swaps page using the
icon. This helps the swapping process to run more smoothly by allowing our team to prepare packaging, labelling and packing slips in advance.
The team at Gameshare are aware of the environmental issues caused by the single use of padded bags. Therefore, we have a policy of reusing padded bags where ever possible. To help us with this, please use labels when addressing your packages so that we can remove them and reuse the packaging when we send the game on.
Thank you for taking the time to read these guidelines. We encourage you to follow the advice given above as it's designed to help the team at Game Share provide you with the best possible service.
